Filed under: Technology and Gadgets — admin @ 9:55 am

A new product called Earth4Energy is now available and is getting quite a bit of attention. It’s an instructional manual that teaches people how to tap into the power of renewable energy. I am talking about the sun and the wind. It doesn’t really matter where you live, because you probably have one or both in abundance.

You can get a hold of the guide immediately by downloading it through the Internet. The instructions come in the form of video tutorials and easy to follow PDFs. There is also a complete list that spells out all of the tools and materials needed to construct solar panels and windmills.

The beauty of this system is that anyone, regardless of their construction skills, can do it. It was tested on a diverse group of people so that the author could see how they handled. He wanted to make sure that anyone could do it.

The process of building solar panels begins with making the solar cells. The solar cells are then wired together which form of solar panels that we all are familiar with. And, of course, the newly built solar panels must be installed and wired into the homes of electric service.

It actually sounds like a complex process doesn’t? Well, believe it or not it is actually a rather simple process. Some people have found that they enjoy the process so much that they began building solar panels and selling them as a business.

Did you know that home solar systems purchased from manufacturers can cost $20,000 and beyond? Yet with the Earth4Energy manual, which costs less than $50, you can build your own solar panel for about $200. Once more, you can build windmills for less than $100.

They also increase the resale value of the home substantially. Solar panels add a great deal of value to the home. And it goes without saying that your utility bills will cost you a lot less money.

This could be just what the conscientious homeowner has been looking for as far as taking advantage of eco-friendly energy goes. There is a no questions asked money back guarantee for those that are not completely satisfied with Earth4Energy.

What are the Other Various Forms of Solar Powered Systems?

Filed under: Technology and Gadgets — admin @ 11:11 am

As soon as you have produced your monocrystalline solar panels. You now need to connect them to a system that will allow you to either use, store or feed to the grid the electricity you have generated. Before you start anything though, have it fixed in your mind’s eye exactly what it is you want to end up with. Make sure you design a system that will satisfy all your energy requirements.

Mobile Solar Powered Systems

Smallest, cheapest and the most simple system. All you need is an inverter, charge controller, a battery and your PV solar panel.

You don’t have to build all your solar panels before you install a system in your home. You can add more solar panels as and when they are available. Solar panels supply electricity as Direct Current. Your appliances use an Alternating Current, so the inverter converts DC to AC.

If you find yourself in the enviable position of having excess electricity, instead of wasting it, you can feed it to a battery bank. Do not use standard auto battery, use a deep cycle battery.

Solar Power For a Grid Tied Home

Are you tied to the national grid? If so then this is a very good system to use. In this system, you do not use batteries, you feed all unused electricity back to your utility supplier network. By sending electricity to the national grid, you can earn money because your electricity supplier is now paying you instead of you paying them.

If you think about it, it is so easy and cheap to build a solar panel. You can easily build one panel in 7 days and let’s say over a year you build 35 of them. This could turn it a very profitable income stream which will not only pay for all your power bills but may also pay for all your household bills!

Add a Battery Bank to Your Grid-Tied System

To add more security to your power supply, you may want to consider having a battery bank to go with your grid tied system. Should you have a cloudy day, or at night when you are generating no power, what do you do then? The battery bank is a passive supply of electricity, which has been previously charged up with any unused electricity generated over the past couple of days.

Off-Grid Solar Power Generator

I would think that if you do not have electricity piped straight to your home then definitely look at having a battery bank integrated with your setup. The battery bank will ensure you have the most effective system as it will store the unused power.

Batteries perform better when they are warm so it is wise to invest in a battery box and keep them in your garage. Not only does the battery box keep your batteries warm they also prevent them from being tampered by children or animals. Just imagine if your dog peed up against a battery, or perhaps not!

You may already have a generator to power your home. If you do, I suggest you connect this to your system as well, it can charge your batteries should they start to go flat.

Different Types of Solar Powered Systems For the Home

  • On Grid + battery bank + generator
  • Off grid with just a battery backup
  • Portable solar power pack
  • Grid tied system without a battery bank
  • Grid tied systems

Solar Power : How To Save Money From Electricity Bills?

Filed under: Technology and Gadgets — admin @ 2:26 am

Middle class families remain always concerned about their budget, like how much to spend and how much to invest for hard days. But their planning always seems to fail due to some payments for essential services. Electricity bill is the main amongst them that keeps on raising higher and higher as you add on a new appliance for your comfort to your home. Now after the invention of solar panels, it was easy to cut off the electricity bills but harder to invest a huge amount on buying them at first. People have to lay thousands and thousands of dollars on their roofs in the form of solar cells. This was not a good idea. But good news is that you can now build solar panels at home and that too by investing a small amount of money. The panel that you will make at home will be as per your requirement and as per your budget.

To make the panels, you have to first look for your need. Do you want a panel for heating; like in use for geyser or for cooker? Or do you need solar panel for electricity purpose? Once decided, you can buy a module for it accordingly and go ahead with the working. You can easily buy DIY solar kits from market that are not hard to buy but make your task much easier to perform. Then you have to make solar cells or simply panels. These cells will act as the charging medium or solar energy absorbers. So more cells you make, more electric power you can generate.

Now if you really want to build solar panels at home, then begin with buying a kit from market. This will be much easier and don’t worry about the costs, its low enough to buy. Further you may not require any assistance as the kit you will buy includes an instruction guide which will help you making your solar panel at comfort. The things you need to know are like using tool box, working with nuts and bolts and soldering a metal. That’s it and you are done.

You can even search internet for some basic and easy instructions. But be careful about wiring your panel. This can be fire hazardous if you have not performed a final check. Better option is to consult an electric technician and let him check if you have connected all terminals right.

At last you need to know about the storage device. It’s not necessary that the area in which you live is hot enough or full of sun rays throughout the season. Don’t forget about the night. Your panels won’t work at that time. So you will need some batteries to store your inverted current in it. It can be then used when ever you wish to. If you will now go for it and build solar panels at home, you will undoubtedly help maintaining an eco-friendly environment and saving some form of energy by utilizing the waste part of solar energy.

Solar Power : Necessary Precautions Required To Protect Solar Panels

Filed under: Technology and Gadgets — admin @ 10:23 pm

Now technology has improved and you can convert sun energy into electrical energy by using build solar panels at home. You might have heard about photo-voltaic cells, which gather sun energy and convert it to electrical energy. If you closely try to understand its technology, you will feel it is a very big great deal to built such complex things, in fact it is not so. All solar panel are having many photo voltaic cells integrated depends up on the size of the panel. The wiring method which binds these entire components together is called field element. Metal, fiberglass or plastic are used to cover the photo voltaic cells in solar panels.

Before making solar panel to work effectively, you have to ascertain some important settings. The first and foremost important setting is linking all cells existing in the solar panels to each other for their complete electrical connectivity. Another important setting is guarding these solar panels from environmental climatic conditions. Solar cells are extremely sensitive to wind and rain. Thus, it is essential to shield these solar panels from severe wind, rain, snow. Also, sometimes, even hail also can cause damage to the solar panels if you could not coat these with material that can prevent damage. If unprotected, then leads to serious damage to water based silicon cells which break very easily. Hence, selection of material for building solar panels is the critical parameter to be considered before proceeding to build solar panels at home.

To avoid humidity, coating solar panels with insulator wrapper can prolong the functioning and life of solar panel. Also, if you are protecting your panels from the metal rust, it will add some more life to it. If thin film cells are used as in the case of modules, it will easily crack, so that you need to consider the kind of component structure. It is mandatory requirement that you should not allow solar panels cells getting heated up excessively. Incorporation of diodes into the composition of the solar panel will help to stabilize its hot temperature automatically. You must keen on ventilation of the building where you have erected solar panels. If ventilation is poor, make sure you add special ventilation system in the building.

Lenses and mirrors are used in the solar panels to converge light energy on to its cells. This way the cost of energy creation is reduced. The happiest thing is that the technology in the manufacturing solar panels also evolving due to its highest demand. Everyone understood the need for a green energy source. You can use solar panel to power 80% of heat and electricity requirement of your house.

Should You Invest In Residential Solar Technology?

Filed under: Technology and Gadgets — admin @ 2:02 am

Hopefully, in the near future we would be able to derive a lot of our power from sources which are more environmentally friendly.

Im betting on solar energy, for one. If I ever win the lottery, I’m going to get my house fitted with solar pannels so we dont use as much regular electricity. Granted, you have to live somewhere that gets a lot of sunshine in order to really benefit from solar electricity, but every little bit helps.

Even though wind turbines seem optimal, they seem to require lots of effort given they require permission from housing associations and specialized zoning permits.

Apparently just weatherizing your house–making sure the windows are well-insulated, going around with a caulking gun and sealing the cracks–even relatively small changes along those lines can make a big difference. I heard of the existence of a special program to enable people to do that who are unable to do that on their own.

It is sad there happens to be no unique solar panel setting up plan, Otherwise I would surely have supported the cause.
Continuously rising oil prices have made one thing clear that oil reserve is dwindling and ultimately there will be no supply of oil which may take three, four or five decades to actually happen.

As a result, renewable energies attain increasing significance for our world wealth. We need to make sure we have the technologies to deal with the new situation after the last drop of oil has been burned.
Using solar panels is one of the most important methods of generating renewable energy.

Solar panels can be installed nearly anywhere. It is one of the way to make the world greenish and safe environment, people install the solar panels, that also cut down their electricity bills too.

The capacities of the solar plants is increasing day by day and this non-conventional source of energy is growing without any risks of unhealthy emissions or the risk of a nuclear Holocaust.
the ubiquitous availability of sunshine:
It doesn’t matter if you live in New York City or in the North Pole, you can use solar panels anywhere for the generation of electricity.
we want to move from smaller city to bigger city because of some reasons like children higher studies and power supply to apartments.
It was a very sad experience to leave my earlier beautiful home which was driven by solar power.

I feel good about not only conserving electricity, but also all the money I have saved because of the lower electric bills.
we had planed to move in a new apartment in big city. when we a flat ti was yet to be completed.

Just then a thought struck to me and I requested the builder to arrange for solar power for home use geysers. He did not favour these actions at first, as he was not very comfortable soliciting quotations from companies and requesting additional pipe lines to introduce the bathrooms.

He finally agreed as it was a small building having only 14 apartments and he had not to take much strain for the work.

We now have hot water in our bathrooms heated by solar power!

How would you like to generate your own electricity for less the $200 (£150)? - Get Useful Tips

Filed under: Technology and Gadgets — admin @ 12:24 pm

There are different ways of making electricity for yourself. Alot of people use wind power and solar power. Wind power is the conversion of wind energy into a useful form, such as electricity, using wind turbines. A wind turbine is a rotating machine which converts the kinetic energy in wind into mechanical energy. If the mechanical energy is used directly by machinery, such as a pump or grinding stones, the machine is usually called a windmill. If the mechanical energy is then converted to electricity, the machine is called a wind generator, wind turbine, wind power unit (WPU), wind energy converter (WEC), or aerogenerator.

Solar power is another common use of producing electricity. Solar power technologies provide electrical generation by means of heat engines or photovoltaics. Once converted its uses are only limited by human ingenuity. A partial list of solar applications includes space heating and cooling through solar architecture, potable water via distillation and disinfection, daylighting, hot water, thermal energy for cooking, and high temperature process heat for industrial purposes.

Alot of people nowadays are looking at ways i.e. wind power and solar power to produce cheaper electricity. With living costs getting so expensive nowadays, people are looking other ways to reduce their electricity bill or create their own source in their backyard.

There are many companies solar eclipse out there who would be able to help you get a grant renewable sources or tell how to build a wind or solar farm.

Learn How to Make Solar Panels the Easy Way

Filed under: Technology and Gadgets — admin @ 5:40 am

With ever rising energy costs, it’s no wonder more and more people have been wanting to install solar panels to save money. But, their enthusiasm quickly fades when the average, cash strapped, homeowner sees the price of a professionally installed solar panel system. It can cost thousands of dollars to have someone else do it for you, but you can save some serious money if you learn how to make solar panels yourself.

It’s a lot easier than you think to learn how to make solar panels. Contrary to popular believe, you don’t have to have an engineering degree or be some kind of electronics genius. The truth is, anyone can build their own solar panels, from teenagers on up, and you can do it in a as little as a weekend. Plus, you can build your solar panels for the fraction of the cost of what a pre-made solar panel system would cost you.

Another great thing about learning how to make solar panels on your own is that you have a lot more control over the size of the system. What this means to you is that you can create one solar panel to power simple appliances such as your coffee maker, your TV, DVD player, computer, etc. Or, if you’re really dedicated, you can build enough solar panels to power your entire home. Talk about living off the grid.

The trick for learning how to make your own solar panels is having a good manual. Once you have a guide to show you how to build your solar panels, you’ll be surprised at how simple it is to find the supplies you’ll need.

In fact, most of what you need can be found at your local hardware store. I’m talking about stuff like plywood, rolls of copper wire, and sheets of glass. You can also find inexpensive photovoltaic cells for your project quite easily, either over the internet, or from local retailers.

It won’t take you long to make your solar panels. The average, inexperienced do-it-yourselfer can make their own 100-Watt panels in about a day, provided they have all their materials at the ready. 100-Watts may not seem like much, but you’ll be able to power some of your smaller appliances, or perhaps even your workshop so you’ll be able to build more solar panels and your first panel will provide all the power! Now that’s pretty neat.

The most important thing to do before you even start your project is get your hands on a good, quality manual that will provide the detailed instructions you need. It should be able to teach you how to make solar panels even if you’ve never built any before or mechanically inclined. Don’t forget the old adage that you get what you pay for so don’t skimp when you’re ready to purchase your manual.

The overall cost of making your solar panels is pretty low so you can afford a quality manual. It’ll take a bit of effort, but you’ll learn how to make solar panels to meet all your energy needs in no time. Then all you have to do is sit back and relax the next time the power goes out on your block. You’ll be the only one watching TV, and heating up food in the microwave while everyone else is living in the stone age.
